  • Pain point : Sharing original music, getting visibility, website existing but obsolete (old WordPress version, not up-to-date in term of security, old design)
  • Solution proposed : Update the website (security, PHP/WP version, design, organization chart), making link between different pertinent platform (Soundcloud, Youtube), designing some album cover to have a brand identity.

As an amateur composer with a SACEM catalog of over 160 registered titles, I wanted to share my works with the general public.
As a sound engineer at Radio France and later as Technical Director for Radio France’s local radio stations, I had the opportunity at the time to compose theme music and background music for programs on France Culture and in other fields (such as sound-and-light shows).

Since retiring and no longer working on-site, I have inevitably lost my professional contacts. Hence the need for me to try to make myself known to the general public and share my musical creations on a non-profit basis.

” Thanks to Marie VIERA DO VALE of Studio MV, I had the opportunity to create a website that reflects my personality.

First of all, choosing the name of the site, “MUSICARV.” was essential !

I had no idea what I wanted, other than to just throw my music on there haphazardly.

She was the one who advised me and made suggestions to keep the site up-to-date.

  • Upload my music and organize it into categories on SoundCloud
  • Ensure that the website’s tabs correspond to my playlists on SoundCloud
  • Include links on the website rather than overloading the WordPress media library

In this way, she enabled me to achieve true interactivity between MUSICARV and platforms like SoundCloud and YouTube.

This modern design, enhanced with images I provided and others she skillfully designed according to my style guidelines (Tangos, Waltzes…), allows visitors to navigate seamlessly based on the type of music they’re looking for.

It’s also a way for me to make it easier to communicate about my site.

In my view, MUSICARV showcases the webmaster’s creativity and all her technical skills, it’s what makes the site look so great! “
